The rains are a gift from the skies for all the children that dwell upon the earth. These are to be shared and celebrated, for in the eyes of spirit we are all equals; humans, plants and other creatures alike.

In our greed and selfishness, we humans have built systems to keep the water for ourself. We have obstructed the flow by not sharing, neglecting and forgetting our sacred relationship with water, becoming blind to our role in the suffering and pain this causes.

​

As we sing to the rain in a traditional animist ceremony, we invoke and honor the rains and their healing wisdom, and surrender to this vast flowing that we are inherently part of. Through a sacred ritual and story, we will remember our part in this flow, let go to the profound wisdom of nature, seek forgiveness for our selfishness, and yield to the ethereal song of spirit around us that sustains this flow.
